How can I take better photographs for my business?
Lots of people have an eye for photography and can take great pictures with their phones, but what if you’re not one of them? As a photographer I love to see people and products shown off in the best way, so here’s my top 5 tips for taking better photographs for your business:
Lighting is everything and natural light can be beautiful. Find the best soft natural light in your home or workplace and place yourself or your product in it.
Check everything in the frame. What is in the background? Is it there because it adds to your photograph? If not remove it.
Experiment and have fun! Take photographs at different angles and with different backgrounds until you get some shots you are happy with.
Ask for opinions on which shots work best. People love to share their thoughts on photography!
Still not happy? Bring in the professionals. This may be more affordable than you think and you will end up with quality content for your website/ social media/ promo materials and more time to get on with developing products or running your business.
Photography is a hobby for some, a passion for others and a lifetime of learning and perfecting skills for the professionals. You will have worked hard to develop your business and it deserves to be shown in the best light.
